  • The Seagate NAS 4-Bay is a handy self-contained storage solution, with one of the world's few remaining disk manufacturers putting its disks into a working network-attached storage basket. Mac users would be advised to walk away, while Windows users may f...

  • Seagate put together an attractive and powerful package for a decent sized office. The system performs very well with workers manipulating files on the NAS, but we wouldn't try to use the system for application workloads. The Atom dual-core processor run...

  • Super-simple interface, Compelling performance, Great remote accessibility, Built-in LCD screen, Power on/off scheduling
  • Not quite as full-featured as other "pro-level" NAS boxes, Few third-party apps so far, Can't batch-import users or groups
  • Excellent performance combines with a handsome UI and a good list of features in this user-friendly prosumer and small-business NAS drive. Set-it-and-forget-it users will prefer it to a geekier, more tweaker-friendly multibay solution. Read More…...

  • Good read/write performance, SimplyRAID technology allows mixed-capacity arrays without a penalty, Dual gigabit Ethernet ports
  • Cannot lock drive trays, Pricey IP camera licenses
  • Solid performance, an attractive feature set, and Seagate's SimplyRAID technology render its 4-bay NAS a good deal for most small businesses, but the absence of locking drive trays could be a deal breaker for companies that don't have a secure location to...

  • Abstract:  If you buy a model with disks pre-installed, you'll be able to complete the setup process in a matter of minutes because a data volume has already been created at the factory. This is a great time-saving decision from Seagate, which means you can skip the...
