  • Great selection of easytouse features; also includes eSATA support.
  • The lack of a hard drive makes us frown slightly, but it also drops the device's price. So really, this is a plus disguised as a minus.

  • Operating system independent, Excellent read/write speeds via FTP and NFS, acceptable via Samba, Quite affordable for a single drive NAS, Front USB backup feature is wonderful, Web administration is very easy
  • Update server is incredibly slowpop a movie in when a new firmware comes out, Needs SFTP for secure, viatheInternet transfersI dont like FTP over SSL, When backing up a flash drive on the front port, one must eject the unit from within the administration...
  • By all measures, this beats what Ive personally got running as my NAS: an old Dell Dimension with a Pentium 2 300 MHz processor, 64 MB of PC100 RAM, and a 6 GB hard drive and dual network cards. The TS-109 has a 500 MHz ARM processor and 128 MB of DD...

  • The QNAP TS-109 Pro Networked Attached Storage unit is one of the most feature-packed NAS units available for the consumer. Not only does it come with every feature under the sun that you would want in an NAS, but it is highly configurable and sports ...

  • By far the QNAP TS-109 Pro’s greatest asset is its long list of features, including everything you could possibly ask for in a NAS device. The functionality of the unit was excellent as it was easy to setup and use. Although the appearance of the un...

  • Feature packed, Q-RAID 1, Web Interface file management, Good performance, Easy installation and detailed manual, Supports wide range of systems: Windows, Mac, Linux, Quiet
  • Runs slightly hot, No HD temperature monitor, Some software (QGET and NetBak) does not work with Mac
  • The QNAP TS-109 Pro is a feature packed NAS with excellent transfer performance. It has maintained the same feels and looks of the TS101 but has upgraded the processor, memory, and software. Personally, I really enjoy the web interface file manageme...

  • Gigabit, Very complete set of features, Easy to use, Linux allows you to add/change features, Extremely silent
  • Room for only one internal hard drive, Runs a bit hot due to lack of cooling, The size would have allowed an internal power supply, Doesnt come with a hard drive
  • When I received the unit the first thing I noticed was the price, I actually thought "Id never buy this myself", however, now that Ive been using it for a while I think I should be keeping the device in service.Nearly all tasks of my current home ser...

  • where2buy, certifications, awards, right2reply So here we are, at the final shakedown. If had to use just one word to describe the TS-109 Pro, it would be "impressive". Its impressive because QNAP has managed to pack a lot of features onto the devic...
