  • Ground breaking terrain deformation, Mega-explosions, Original weaponry
  • Limp plotline, Untapped potential, Short game time, Limited replay value
  • With a novel gameplay mechanic and some serious firepower at your disposal, theres a lot of fun to be had. Its just a shame there just isnt more to it.

  • Not good, not bad, but utterly forgettable. Fracture wastes all its good ideas in a stream of monotonous battles and dull design....

  • Most of Fracture’s bad points are overshadowed by how much fun changing the terrain can be. Masses of action, huge explosions and a competent shooter with a fantastic gimmick. 6.9/10Print this pageUser reviews (1)Share this pageNoticed something wro...

  • Terrain deformation mechanics are engaging, sharp graphics, enjoyable multiplayer
  • Dim bullet-sponge enemies, unimaginative missions and puzzles, disappointing finale
  • Yes, the gameplay is hinged upon a single unique concept but the terrain deformation "gimmick" is executed nicely, turning what is otherwise a vanilla shooter into something fairly interesting and decent. ...

  • Crazy addictive multiplayer; a few innovative weapons; terrain deformation offers occasional thrills.
  • Terribly repetitive; lousy enemy AI; derivative and inconsequential plot; frequent performance dips.
  • Following closely on the heels of LucasArts Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Fracture is another third-person action shooter that lacks lightsabers but does have some clever new technology that enables you to mold the terrain as you see fit. Fracture h...

  • Abstract:  By most accounts, the futures going to be a terrible place. Books, movies, and games typically arent kind when they predict the plight of the human race, and Fracture is no exception. To deal with the rapidly changing climate of the 22nd century, the...

  • Great soundtrack, Multiplayer Excavation mode is cool, Collecting data chips encourages creative terraforming.
  • Terraforming is vastly underutilized, Many derivative elements, Tons of frustrating, cheap deaths.
  • The ability to alter terrain isnt enough to save Fracture from becoming the latest run-of-the-mill shooter. ...

  • Abstract:  Somewhere deep within Fracture, far, far below its offensively derivative crust, lies a worthwhile, original game. It's very much a game with a gimmick -- terraforming terrain on the fly -- and while that gimmick works well (if a bit too predictably), ...
